BTS River Thames Activation

Bespoke large-scale floating brand activation for BTS on the River Thames, London.

THE BRIEF

Working alongside Cheil UK, we were tasked with designing, producing and installing a striking activation on the River Thames to support the BTS London campaign.

The objective was to create an installation that was impossible to ignore – a standout activation that would travel through central London on a 32-metre barge. It needed to deliver maximum visual impact while being robust enough to withstand transport and a full 24 hours on the River Thames.

Built at Scale
Each of the three bespoke rings measured 6 metres in diameter, making them the defining feature of the activation. Built using 300mm x300mm curved aluminium truss, each ring was clad in plywood and covered in stretched fabric on both sides then finished with Dibond. Due to their size, it took four members of the Envisage team to carry each ring into positioned ahead of the crane lift.

Engineered for Installation
Once assembled, each ring was lifted into place by crane and secured to bespoke truss pontoons fixed to the deck of the 32-metre barge. Every detail was engineered to ensure the installation remained secure throughout its 24 hour journey, while maintaining a clean, seamless finish.
